Museum Connections 2027
Explore how museums connect long-term collections with changing audiences, technology and retail at a trade fair built around the visitor experience.
About this event
How does a museum plan for decades while responding to audiences and technologies that change from one season to the next? Museum Connections makes that tension the starting point for its 2027 conference theme, Navigating Time Horizons. Discussions address access, cultural mediation, artificial intelligence and the environmental and social changes affecting cultural institutions. The exhibition gives those questions a practical setting. Museum Tech, Museum Shop and Museum Life bring together technology, retail and professional services for museums, heritage sites and other visitor attractions. A team considering a new visitor experience can explore the technology behind it, the expertise needed to deliver it and how it fits the wider operation of a cultural venue. The mix is particularly useful for directors, visitor-services teams, retail buyers and people responsible for developing cultural sites. The two-day visitor badge includes the exhibition and conferences. For culture and tourism professionals it is free with registration through 31 October 2026, then €30 until 11 January and €40 on the event days. An optional €99 conference pass adds priority seating and other services. Students and jobseekers can request a limited free pass with proof and organiser approval by 18 December. Exhibitor pricing and participation details are available from the organiser.
