Heimtextil 2027

What should a textile do as well as look like? Explore tactile design, everyday performance and contract applications at Heimtextil’s 2027 edition.

About this event

A removable cover, a deliberately visible fastening or a rough fibre can change both how an interior looks and how it is used. Heimtextil’s Trends 27/28 explore that relationship under the theme Home-Maxxing – The Performance of Everyday Living, giving designers and buyers a concrete starting point for examining new materials. The Trend Space, curated by Alcova, brings those ideas into a physical setting. Patricia Urquiola contributes three sculptures, including two developed for the 2027 edition. Elsewhere, the fair spans home and contract textiles, bedding, carpets, rugs and textile design, allowing visitors to move from a design idea to discussions about products and applications. For architects, interior designers and hospitality specialists, the Interior.Architecture.Hospitality programme adds talks and tours focused on functional contract textiles. That combination is useful when appearance is only part of the brief and material choices also need to suit the way a room or building is used. Heimtextil is a trade fair for professional visitors. Online day tickets start from €38 with the optional information service, or €56 without it; full-event tickets cost €67 and €100 respectively. See the official ticket shop for available options. Tickets cannot be returned or exchanged. Standard exhibitor space starts at €277/m² excluding VAT for a one-side-open stand, with a 9 m² minimum and mandatory media and per-square-metre charges additional.
